Monthly payment, total interest and the full amortization schedule.
The payment uses the standard repayment (annuity) method: the payment stays the same and at first you mostly pay interest; over the years, more and more principal.
The nominal rate is the interest charged on the balance. The APR also includes fees and how often you pay, and it’s the figure to use when comparing offers.
Payment = C · i / (1 − (1 + i)^−n) i = annual rate / 12, n = number of months
It has a fixed rate for the first years and a variable one afterwards. The calculator lets you simulate both stages.
A longer term lowers the payment, but you pay a lot more interest overall. Compare the total interest in the result.
