Estimate your body fat percentage from a few tape-measure readings.
The US Navy method estimates body fat from height and the circumference of your neck and waist (plus hips for women). Its typical error is around 3–4%, similar to many bioimpedance scales.
Measure your waist at the navel, your neck just below the Adam’s apple and your hips at their widest, without pulling the tape tight.
As a guide, 14–24% for men and 21–31% for women.
