Convert pay between hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and annual according to your working pattern.
To turn an annual salary into an hourly rate, divide it by the hours you work in a year: hours per week times weeks worked (without holidays).
Enter your holiday in calendar days (every day counts, weekends too) or in working days (only the days you work: 28 working days at 5 days a week are 5.6 weeks). The calculator turns them into weeks.
Monthly pay is the annual figure divided by 12.
Holiday weeks = calendar days / 7, or working days / days you work per week Hours per year = weekly hours × (52 − holiday weeks) Hourly rate = annual salary / hours per year
At 40 hours a week with about 4.4 weeks of holiday, around 1,900 hours, before public holidays.
Work it out with the hours you actually bill, not the hours you work. If you bill 25 hours a week, your rate needs to be well above an employee’s hourly pay.
